Here's a web page with service costs for all Ford models... Knock yourselves out smile.png

http://www.ford.co.th/ford-owners/services/maintenance

again I ask why so expensive??? they are a Ford nothing exotic? my 2 year old Vigo 4 x 4 just had 30000 service only 1661.71 baht, semi synthetic oil, perfect for this country, anything more is a total rip off and I would avoid this manufacturer at all costs

Please do, but at the same time, can you also avoid filling Ford threads with disinformation? That'd be appreciated. Thanks :)

The first service on my Triton was 1200 baht.

The first service on your Triton was at 1,000KM though, and was only an oil change, tightening bolts, and removing the slag from the oil pan plug... next service at 10,000KM.

The first service for Ford's is at 15,000KM

Metal on the plug...........w00t.gif

They change the Ford engine at 15,000..............laugh.png

And people are complaining about the servicing costs??? :D:P

Clearly cannot stand the truth, Ford Thailand is crap and a rip off.

No, the first service at 1000 klms was free.

OK, so no oil change at the 1,000KM service now then. Good to know.

Yeah, they don't have it anymore...It starts from 10,000 km.

What's the Toyota's recommended service interval? 10,000 km? Semi-synthetic should be changed every 10,000. So for a 30,000 km comparison, that's 3 x 1,661.71 = 4985.13

Fords use full synthetic which is good for 15,000 km but it is more expensive than semi-synthetic. So for a 30,000 km comparison, that's 2 x 3,410 = 6,820.

You already appear be happily (?) avoiding this manufacturer.

Only idiots who spent similar money on an inferior product.

From a car service shop point of view, please change your semi-synthetic oil every 5,000 km. giggle.gif

Investigating the possibility of getting a 3.2 on finance with 3 year old Ford as deposit.

My question to Recent Ford owners is did you get any free extra's ? My last new car purchase in LOS was about 10 years ago and I got everything and more free????????

If you already have a Ford you're supposed to get a 20k discount, not sure if they include that on trade ins. 3.2T used to get free insurance, but I think it's only available for the 2.2T now. 3.2T+ seems to be much harder for getting anything from the dealer than the regular one.

May be worth waiting for the motorshow next month as I'm sure they'll be offering some incentives then.

Ignore my last post, you're asking about the Ranger. I'm automatically programmed to talk about the Everest!

When I bought mine last month, I got a 70K discount (20K Ford owner discount + an extra 50K), free insurance + road tax, and a list of freebie accessories so long it took me an hour to weed out the tacky crap ;)

I do actually. Drove one when I was a teenager and they were crap. But that was way, way before the VW cloning program took off.

We have all loved Ford at sometime ,but here only the bravest can.

Why is it brave to enjoy the best of what is available here (not including rip offs like BMW, Ben, etc)?

Brave. LOL.

So long as the service techs remember to put the sump plug back in, I think you're pretty much good ;)

Dealer backup.......?
Yes, it has dealer backup. Was there anything in particular you would like to mis-inform everyone about?

O.K. if you live in a big city, but if yer dont a Toyo safer, there one on every corner like7/11.+ they dont look Gormless when U Go In like Ford Dumbo's up country.gigglem.gif

Ford in Udon were fine.

The truth of the matter is all down to the quality of your local dealer. The same holds true with pretty much everything here; banks, internet company, immigration office, land transport office, govt school etc

Dealer backup within easy reach in LOS....Plus positive communication when you eventually find one..

All Ford dealerships are within "easy reach".... so long as you have a car - It's not like you're riding a bloody bicycle there tongue.pngbiggrin.pngbiggrin.png
