Getting Old: Stoic About It or Endless Whinger?
The difference about aging in Thailand are the opportunitys you have to enjoy your advancing years. The weather is good to enjoy exercise walking or swimming everyday. Affordable golf. You also have the option to have female company if you wish. Private healhcare is expensive and the wait to see a doctor at a government hospital may take hours. However in the UK it would take weeks. Accomadation and food is reasonably priced. All in all lots to enjoy for us old timers residing in Thailand. -

Help needed with one question about UK frozen state pension.
Don't think there's gonna be much in the way of pension rises worth having in the future. The past 2 years made 20%, next year 4% ....... think I'll be gone before it's another 20% aggregate rise. (allegedly state pension claims average 8 years in duration) -

Probably they can not afford steroids" basically means all, but anyway, are suggesting an age range, a gender, etc... either way you bring all into you argument, which is WRONG... you also brought Aussies, and Yanks, into it, by replying to a previous comment, for no logical reason, making it racist. We don't care if some are legal in the UK, your comment is wrong, as this is Thailand. -

Question about extending visa before renewing passport
Processing time per the USEMBTHL is up to six to eight weeks. Recent reports, this year, have been five to seven weeks, but some reports with shorter turn-around times (3 ~ 4 weeks). Ideally, you'd mail it in the same day you got a sixty-day stamp. Not sure any office will provide a 30-day extension with 47 days on the clock? Tricky situation. I might consider leaving today, re-enter on a new 60 day stamp, then mail the DS-82 package. -

They don't like Trump, he's a threat to the political class and wants to reform the institutions that comprise the trough they've been feeding at for decades ... this sums up the medias hand wringing and yours it seems. Are you old enough to remember when Bill Clinton won the election with a mere 43% of the popular vote back in 1992? They liked Clinton and Time magazine called it a "Mandate for Change". Regardless of what you read, Trump has a mandate too. -
