tokay gecko

Featured Replies

I have 3 quite large tokays living on top of my roll up garage door. I can see them looking out during the day, presumably the come out to hunt at night. The problem is they s**t all over the lock and the front of the garage. I don't want to harm them but I wish they would find another home. Any ideas? I have cats but that doesn't seem to make a difference.

Collect the shit and use it as fertilizer. Tokays are great to have around as long as they stay outdoors.

wrap a towel twice over around your hand, pick it up and walk it a few meters down the road. They are not aggressive. it will try to bite as a defense but if you hold it tight theres no problem.

Get hold of some Thai men. They will catch them and maybe even use them for dinner. Some Thais do that.

If bitten in the hand hold the tokay in a bucket of water, usually found in the toilet, they will let go when they need to breath.

I catch them with vacuum cleaner. Get hold of them then release them outside.
