In some ways, living in Thailand can be like existing

in the hunting territory of jackals. If you are young and

strong, they will steer clear of you. If you appear to

be like a wounded gazelle, they will move in and attack

you. So if you are old and weak, Thailand is NOT the

place to be. This attack by the teens/jackals is simply

a demonstration of that...

As this kind of story is about the very last thing people

thinking about coming to Thailand want to see, I hope

the junta prosecutes them for damaging the reputation

of Thailand. And why the major beatdown ?? Why not

just punch the old guy around a bit, steal his phone and money,

establish your dominance over a defenseless man, and

move on ? Why put the guy in the hospital ???????????

It has been shown in many studies and experiments that impersonal video games do have an effect. However that is no excuse for the behavior, and that should not be allowed as any basis of a defense.
