When taking pictures in Thailand, what is the proper etiquette. Do Thais not like having their picture taken?

Generally, they love it! Always polite to point to your camera and ask if you can take a photo; but the response is almost always favourable to the point of enthusiasm; which can be a problem if you are hoping for a candid shot!
