Laptop Repair - broken LCD/Display in Bangkok

Featured Replies

Seeking advice from the boffins.

Trusty Lenovo laptop has a badly cracked screen

I am in Phuket, but will be heading to KL and then Bangkok in the next week.

I have an idea of replacement cost in KL - can anyone advise rough ballpark cost of screen replacement in Bangkok, and where to take it?

Fortune will be easier for me, but could go to Panthip if its recommended to be better and cheaper for a standard LCD replacement

Its a 15" Lenovo G500, not touch screen

Out of warranty but the laptop itself still works well so I'd prefer to get this one fixed.

Also needs a new keyboard [half the numbers row is kaput], but the screen is the priority

Thanks

I have no idea of the cost of a display replacement but I can highly recommend "Pro Corner Computer Repair", Fortune Tower, 3rd level along the back aisle. The Manager speaks excellent English and is very reputable. His name is Nick.

Closed Sundays.

The last time I inquired about a 15" laptop LCD screen replacement with HP, I was quoted 4000THB.

Thanks for your info Kopitiam

Hoping to hear back for some cheaper quotes - 4000 seems a little high given the quote I have from KL is only RM 250 for a screen replacement [about 2200 baht]

If anyone else has some recent quotes or experience please share

Take the deal in KL. That seems incredibly cheap.

Yeah. I paid 5,000 for a Lenovo 15" screen replacement in Phantip. Take the KL deal!
