For couple weeks now no information on the programme guide which has happened before but only for a couple of days. Guessing they can't be arsed because they're s**t and losing EPL next season? Any confirmation who has secured the contract,I've heard True? All the satellite providers seem to have their problems of typical Thai customers service and although I'd like to try ilikehd or similar ,especially as they have a recording facility starting in May ,I'm a bit out in the sticks just outside Phimai and although next to an AIS 3G mast I'm not sure I have sufficient Mbps. I did a speed check which was 7 but I usually get buffering when downloading clips from TV or you tube. AIS are selling 4G packages (although I've only 3G in my area) which are cheaper with more capacity than my 12gb 800 baht month current AIS package. It should work with only 3G anyway they say and seems the obvious switch which may also help with my downloading, having more capacity, but I'm looking for the catch!

Grateful for some helpful advice on all this

Watched F1 on CTH last season, where can I watch or even hear a radio broadcast this year?

It should be on Fox Sports which is carried by Truevisions and some other cable/satellite services.

PLEASE not CTH, which has by far the worst service I have ever experienced anywhere. I sent them an email in December (at the fourth attempt as it kept bouncing back) showing receipts for the 7000 baht they claim I owed them. No response. No email, no phone call, no acknowledgement they were investigating. Just cut the service until I called, often spending an hour or more on the phone. Then service was restored until the next month, and repeat. Now they insist on original receipts SNAIL MAILED to them (hi-tech company, hmm) as emailed photos of the receipts are not acceptable.

I think not. So it has been ilikehd for me the last few weeks. Mostly okay, and I get EXACTLY the same PL football as I got on CTH for half the price, plus the FA Cup matches too. Plus, of course, dozens of additional channels. No idea of the legalities of it all, but as long as it's available I'll take it.

True already has at least one Bein channel (maybe more, but i only have a basic service from True), so I'd guess they might carry the PL.

BeiN already partners with True for Champions League and other stuff. Given that and the farce that is CTH's admin (BeIn only have to Google CTH!) I'll be amazed it the chosen carrier is not True. Arabs are not stupid in business - they would surely spot the overwhelming challenge of launching their own delivery channels in Thailand which would necessarily involve Thai managers, presumably of similar ilk to CTH. Trouble is that True are not stupid either (IMO, based on being a 7 year customer and not facing the same problems others reportedly have) and will extract a pretty penny. Result - better start saving now for the premium that will need to be extracted from us to watch the Premier League.

Maybe monitor developments in the football forum. Contributors keep developing a new thread there, so scan the index of threads (go back a page or two to check also) and the pinned topics:

Please ask me this question after the season is over.

Would love to believe that deal done with Bein & True for next year as they have very good picture,

BUT, Bein not a Thai company & due to the massive exposure EPL gets there may still may be a twist to the story

Hi Barry ,

I also have ilikehdtv and when it is running well it would be hard to beat but I have had issues with programme lost and picture freezing . I had been using my smart tv alone to access the website but was told by ilikehd that smart tv's were not recommended to use with their system and that a standard tv with an android box was a better set up . I now have an android box to feed the tv and the problems have all but gone , just the odd freeze now and again .

Do you have an problems with loss of programme etc ? I have fiber optic 20 down 8 up but have noticed on the speed test that the signal is quite often unstable with peaks and troughs . Phoned TOT and they said there is a fault with their system in Khon Kaen and will be repaired tomorrow . March 17
