BANGKOK: -- Army commander-in-chief Gen Thirachai Narkvanich blasted politicians who spoke senselessly with no responsibility saying they deserve to receive lengthy "training course".

The army chief was commenting on the prime minister’s suggestion that the “attitude adjustment” will be escalated for some senselessly speaking politicians who repeatedly defied the government’s requested cooperation for the sake of peace and order of the country which is in a crucial stage of reforming.

Gen Thirachai said the country is currently under the circumstances that it needs cooperation from all sides to help in maintaining peace and order in the country.

But there are still some politicians who didn’t understand and come out to talk and talk just just for themselves with no regard to the sake of peace and order.

He said a soldier private speaks even more sense than these politician, warning that if they continued to speak senselessly “we may need to keep them longer.”

He said as now the country is moving forward for better, it is useless to provoke or cause split in the country.

The army chief said a training course will be designed but still is not known when to start.

But it will be “experimented” with these politicians first, he said and named the politicians to undergo the training course as Mr Watana Muangsook and Mr Worachai Hema, two key figures of the Pheu Thai party.

He said the majority of politicians have sense speaking, unlike these people who always make points to criticise.

Dangerous, dangerous, dangerous.

The longer these people stay in power and perform their duties poorly - the more dissent there'll be.

You can't just tell everyone to shut up when they criticise you. This is not the army. It's the government.

How can this situation possibly get any better with the same people in charge?

That's just what the rest of the world has been waiting for. The Thai military determining what makes sense and what doesn't. Can't waif for this circus to go on the road.

The sooner these morons get back to the barracks the better. The problem seems to be that they have enjoyed their snouts in the trough (of public funds) for much too long. Now forever derailing the process of an elected government. As per :- http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/906447-meechai-upset-for-not-being-allowed-to-explain-to-people-about-the-charter-draft/

And what about senselssly speaking Army chiefs?

These fools should learn that silence is golden. Their silence that is, not the silence of the people.

Do they not realize that all this extreme suppression of the peoples right to free speech is just faning the fires of discontent? With each passing day the total BS from Prayut and company is just getting worse. I think this is now going to end very very badly.

"experimented",electric shock treatment, brainwashing, mind control,do they mean those kind of experiments ,or the Iron maiden and the rack might work.

I agree that it appears to be getting worse every day - more farcical, more control by the junta, less hope of democracy actually returning, etc.

If Thailand doesn't yet meet the definition of a totalitarian state, it isn't to far off!

What is the difference between these 're adjustment' camps and the US torture camps set up here and elsewhere in SE Asia after their illegal invasion of Middle Eastern countries? You chuckleheads you huh.png

The US torture camps are not used to silence free speech of its own citizens.

Probably water boarding, we have George Bush's assurance that isn't torture, only an "enhanced interrogation technique". Speaking of senselessly speaking politicians.

very, very dangerous 'internment camps' and whosoever defends it on here is an enemy of free speech and democracy and there is NO excuse to support 'extensive training' of politicians or any citizen just because they don't agree with you

For those who haven't figured it out, "cooperation" means unquestioning obedience.

Dangerous it is.

"He said a soldier private speaks even more sense than these politician....."

If this is respect he gives to, and what he thinks of those under his immediate control, what does he think of the rest of the population?

Disagreement is senseless? No.... what is senseless is the know-it-all pontificating by military leaders who think they truly know how to run a country. But clearly don't.

For many decades the BKK elites support by the camo's tried to divide the people, the old motto divide and rule. When TS came around he became to popular and was starting to unite the poor and every trick was used to bring him down, of which one was to accuse him of dividing the Thai's. The irony is that instead of dividing the Thai people more, like the 2006 coup, this coup in uniting the people more. Its becoming a question of not being for the other side but being against the camo's. The day will arrive when the majority Thai's have nothing to lose by joining hands and taking back their country.

I'd hate to burst your bubble Mr Army commander-in-chief but the country is not moving forward, it's sliding backwards at a record setting pace.

I think I need an attitude adjustment.

I look forward to the day when we read "Politicians blast senselssly speaking Army chief."

I look forward to the day when politicians talk sensibly. That applies in most countries though, not just Thailand.

Don't hold your breath sport. More chance of finding snow in the Sahara !
