ezzra Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 Where are the fake police to arrest the fake officials when you need them?
bheard Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 You mean if they were real officials they would not be conducting scams?
soalbundy Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 It's their own fault for paying bribes, resist as Prayut say's. Could this case possibly mean that they were used to paying bribes and didn't find it unusual?
SOTIRIOS Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 ......are they shop owners or employees.... ...50,000 baht....??? ....based on a logo on a t-shirt..... ...does it really make sense....???

PETERTHEEATER Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 Who writes the crap headlines? The text of the report centres on a single shop. What other shops were scammed?
dabhand Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 Who writes the crap headlines? The text of the report centres on a single shop. What other shops were scammed? It might help to read the Pattaya One article before commenting. 'Six shops were scammed out of 50, 000 baht each by the same group of men. The men are still at large.'
sanukjim Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 So were the fake scammers of the real scammers rely scamming or were the stores scamming the bib about being scammed so that the bib could not scam them out of any money the shops said they lost in the scamming scams.
sanukjim Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 Who writes the crap headlines? The text of the report centres on a single shop. What other shops were scammed? Oh great corrector of English why don't you go to work as the editor of TV?
fakename Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 So, they ended up paying a bribe to the wrong people, what to do now, call the police?
Pattaya28 Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 "Fake" is all around us. Seems to be part of the culture. So whether we have "Fake" bags, "Fake" designer shirts, "Fake" watches, or "Fake" officials, does it really matter ?
soalbundy Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 So, they ended up paying a bribe to the wrong people, what to do now, call the police? yes but make sure they are real and then pay them some money to start working on the case
Nemesis7 Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 Fakes are everywhere. Why didn't they demand to see some credentials?
donnybay Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 The navy are coming to sort this type of thing out according to AD
55Jay Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Only pay bribes to reputable, confirmed government officials.
Keesters Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 And the shop just handed over 50,000 on the basis of a T-Shirt logo. Duh!
balo Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 I don't understand why That staff(owner of the shops can be so stupid that thy pay 50k cash to some individuals without any form of credentials. Is this the standard here? As an owner I would refuse and call the police. What is the worst thing that could happen ? I'd rather bribe the police for arresting the fake officials than give them anything in the first place. Just stupidity , they can only blame themselves.
55Jay Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 And the shop just handed over 50,000 on the basis of a T-Shirt logo. Duh! Had they worn khaki uniforms festooned with colorful ribbons and para jump wings, they coulda got 100k.
jaywalker Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 "Upon further investigation and reviewing CCTV footage, it was concluded that they were not legitimate government officials." If they'd been legitimate government officials then all would be well I suppose.
