My first guess would be - go look in The Mall but i suspect there is a better place to look. Any ideas

IT PLAZA is the best place to get all that stuff, Its like Pantip in Bangkok only smaller and slightly more expensive. Its along the same road as the mall and on the same side, its just a little bit further up coming from Bangkok way. Mobile phone stuff on the ground floor, computer stuff on the others. As for getting an original version of XP I doubt you can from there. You can always get a copied version and then register it online with microsoft and they will send you the activation codes to make it legit.
