Buying Android Apps

Featured Replies

Ive been using a Nokia Windows phone for a long time , Ive just been given a new Android mobile phone as a gift and now I would like to purchase several Android apps from the Google apps store.

I have not yet set up the new Android phone , I do not have a Gmail account.

I do have a Thailand Bangkok Bank account and a debit card which is all so linked to my PayPal account.

From past experience with some things to do with Thai banks and on line purchases , things can be a little different when setting up new purchasing accounts , so I was wondering what is the best way to go about buying Android apps from the Google apps store using my Bangkok Bank debit card.

Any advice welcome.

IIRC, I linked my Bangkok Bank debit card straight through the Play store. I don't remember if I had to go through the verified visa prompts, but I've never had any problems since.

I recently paid an app (about 800 Baht) via my AIS prepaid phone ("Direct carrier billing").

Very easy and basically risk free. Top-up to what is required and buy.

Price will be deducted from the credit.

No extra cost as far as I remember.

Forgot the subtle details. Likely an SMS with an OTP was sent.

Due to Google it is available with AIS and DTAC.

Just curious, but are you prepay, or post pay with AIS?

As written: prepaid.

But it seems it will also work with postpaid (which I don't know much about in Thailand).
