PATTAYA: -- Pattaya Police set up a drug buy sting operation which lead to the raid of the drug dealer’s house.

Banglamung Sherrif Mr. Chakorn Kanjanawatta together with Flying Offer Porrasit Chitaramwong and Bailiff Faction Mr. Pichet Tumhorn set up a drug buying sting operation in Naklua Pattaya. There plan was to buy 5 ya ba (methamphetamine) tablets for 1000 bath.

At 6pm, 4th of May, the task force went to the drug dealer’s house located at 419/52 Soi 14, Moo 5, Naklua Pattaya to buy drugs. After the buy, they proceeded to arrest the dealer Mr. Byrd Nory but he quickly escaped through the alley by the garbage dumps.

Inside the home was the drug dealer’s 20 year old girlfriend, Miss Siriporn Vietiane holding a newborn baby. During their raid of the home, they found 5 ya ba tablets and detained Miss Siriporn for interrogation.

In addition, while officers were inside the home conducting their raid, two people on a motorcycle drove by and were acting very suspicious. When the Police showed interests in the motorcyclists, they pair sped off quickly.

More pointless collecting of 'small fry' to help the illusion that they are doing something in the 'fight against drugs'. It may keep a few voters mildly contented.

The snag is that the 'powers that be' probably know full well who the big fish are in the trade but are too afraid or powerless to act against them.

A small fine, a token prison term for these two and they'll be back as foot soldiers, making more money for the real king pins.

Most are never reported - this one was that's all.
