rooster59 Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 'Revenge of the snake-head fish' all over again in Pathum Thani yesterday Image: Thairath PATHUM THANI:-- Following in the footsteps of a Thai youth a few days ago who managed to stab himself in the face with a harpoon while out fishin', a 53 year old man repeated the trick yesterday. Dork-rak Dechpuang was enjoying a day off at his house on stilts over a pond Friday when he saw the prospect of dinner in the water below - a nice size Pla Chon or snake-head fish, reports Thairath. He grabbed his five pronged harpoon and crept stealthily downstairs - but unfortunately, like the youth earlier, lost his footing and fell on the lethal weapon that went through from his left ribs to his waist. Medics called by his wife gave him first aid at the scene before snapping off part of the one metre long implement and packing the injured man off to hospital. It is not known if he had fish on Friday in hospital for dinner. Source: Thairath -- 2016-05-07

mesterm Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 "It is not known if he had fish on Friday in hospital for dinner." Such high quality reporting. The line also does not seem to be on the original article.
