BT Sport has confirmed that it will show the Champions League and Europa League finals for free on YouTube.

The broadcaster confirmed the move after revealing in April that it was considering showing the matches for free in an effort to make the highly anticipated fixtures more widely available.

In a statement announcing the decision BT Sport said: "Neither final has ever been made available for free on the video platform before.

“By doing so, it will bring the matches within reach of millions of additional fans who do not yet subscribe to BT Sport.”
