Good result.....solid performance, especially indefense.....Dave gets better and better and fully justifies being ahead of Cole. Eto very intelligent, reads the game well. No injury worries ahead of what is a must win game on saturday.

Not sure about better but best in the premier league this season.

Given the rich's disparity

I'de go they're on a par with Martinez,,,,, just

  1. Rodgers is playing with basically the same team that he had last season
  2. He is now 20 points in front of where he was last season after 29 games
  3. 5 places up the ladder
  4. vying for the title
  5. vying for CL qualification
  6. scoring record numbers of goals against top 6 teams
  7. His strikers have scored more goals than some teams combined and are 1, 2 on goals ladder
  8. Martinez has Everton playing more attractive football, but they are only 3 points better off.

Manager of the season - Brendan Rodgers

I think Brendan also takes great credit for his man management of Suarez and the way he has turned that player's career around. I really didn't think it could be done. Still think though that he'll show his mad streak before the season is done.

Agree with all that. Rodgers has really impressed me this season. I also think that the progress made by Liverpool this season has given them every chance of keeping Suarez and i never would have thought that twelve months ago.

We were discussing this season. Last season Rodgers had a similar season to what Martinez is having this season at Everton (average), and there is no way Rodgers was anywhere near manager of the year.

I like Martinez, like his style of play and what he did for Wigan, but what makes Martinez efforts at Everton this season so great or better than Rodgers season?

I dunno.

I think Chelsea have a chance against PSG.

And AM might give Barca some trouble.

Agreed with that. Atletico won't be a pushover for anybody.

Mou versus Ibra and Cavani ! Mouth watering.

Full draw:

Barcelona v Atletico Madrid

Real Madrid v Borussia Dortmund

Paris St-Germain v Chelsea

Manchester United v Bayern Munich

Any thoughts?

Away to PSG to start with.

Funnily enough,I would have preferred Barcelona or Bayern as we've played them numerous times and know their style of play and how to beat them. Paris SG are a bit of an unknown quantity so are hard to assess.

Right. That's it Mourhino.

I've seen and heard enough.

You let our player of the season, 2 seasons actually, go to United, because you want to play this new fangled fast counter attacking stuff like they do in Europe. You buy an old man with a walking stick, a totally unknown Egyptian and a Brazilian because you didn't want Spurs to have him.

You make instantaneous and impulsive changes during games that are almost childish in their naivety.

As for your reaction to Wenger's jibe about 'fear of failure'...well.

And you have the nerve to say 'next season we can race.'

We love you.

Nice to see Salah get a run out and show his pace control and touch, albeit agasinst 10 men. Hopefully Eto,s injury is not to serious.

Concur with you Og i would rather we had drawn Barca or Bayern (you know what your gonna get)
