I was in Yangon early October, they say they are no longer issuing 60-day tourist visas because of the new Thai regulations.

They would not issue 90-day non-immigrant 'O' without the Thai Labour Dept WP3 form either (attempting to volunteer with social organization)

Ok, thank you very much for the reply. Might try anyway since I'll be there a week and see what happens. Nice to know that it may not be possible though before getting my hopes up.

A friend of mine just recently got back form yangon and was told at the embassy that no more 60 days are beinng issued. Bummer.

Is this still the case?

Yangon a no go?
