Hello all swedish bangkok-based people!! Is there any chance I can find swedish meatballs in a restaurant and "kalles kaviar" in a deli somewhere?

Hello!

I don't know if I'm supposed to answer in English or Swedish but I suppose you're Swedish so...

Tjenare!

Not entirely sure whether you were referring to just Bangkok, or speaking about Thailand in general? There are a few decent places in Pattaya. My personal favourite is located between soi 6 and soi 7 at Beach road in Patttaya. The name of this establishment is Globetrotter. They've got EVERYTHING. For example, knäckebröd (crisp bread) with kalles kaviar, meatballs with cream sauce. Swedish style pizza. Today's special, Swedish style. They also have most types of snus [swedish snuff] (but they charge 280 baht per pack). Google for their home page, which has a complete menu.

They will also arrange smörgåsbord on some Sundays; Easter food, Christmas dinner, and Midsummer food. They're just one minute away from the beach.

Sending the home page by PM.

I hope you found what you were looking for.

[EDIT: Translated into English. Please respect that Thaivisa.com is an English language forum. /Meadish :o]

How about English for the rest of us? I might be interested in trying such a place, too.

Hi - Please remember Thaivisa is an English language forum... I translated relevant parts into English for the benefit of all.

Thanks for the translation. Now I can tell what he was saying!

If you are in Bangkok, the Scandinavian Church on 62, Sukhumvit Road, Soi 33 has Kalles, along with a host of other Swedish food. They have a website as well www.skut.com
