Pope Francis death
Agree, not for the likes of me and you, but millions across the whole World will be in mourning for weeks, for a regime which has caused so much trouble and garnered so much money from the poor believers. -

What's with the censorship of the emoji's?
I’ve explained this multiple times, and this will be the last. When people can see who left a reaction emoji, it opens the door for retaliation—and yes, it happens, often aggressively. It quickly escalates into feuds, stalking, and other issues that create unnecessary drama. Then the moderators are left to deal with the fallout. After many years of experience on this board, it’s clear: visible emoji reactions cause nothing but trouble.- 1

Accident Foreign National Crashes Car Into Songkran Revellers in Pattaya, Injuring Seven
If people are that drunk they can hardly walk then of course they can cause danger to other people, ie walking out on to the road without looking, traffic having to swerve to avoid them. -

Man Killed, Wife Injured in Road Crash During Songkran Journey Home
Assuming again. I'm not obsessed. I'm just telling you how things really are. Get off of it. You have seen me agree with some of what you said, and disagree with things you dismiss. You still do not understand it's all about blame. Accidents don't happen by themselves. People are involved, along with education. enforcement, condition of roads, weather and other traffic. This has been going on in Thailand for decades, with many promises, and still nothing has changed, period. To you it's nonsense, because you are stuck on factors which work, but those factors still involve the main cause of accidents. People. It's obvious, like some others, that you don't read, or perhaps comprehend, what I've been writing all along. Thinking you're some kind of expert has you thinking you're the only one that's right here. You're not. We both are, but you can't see that because you dismiss what I write, even though what I write is a fact. First people, secondary, the 5E's, which all work together. No people, no accidents. Simple. When Thailand actually does what other countries have done for decades, less people will die. Attitudes towards life include driving, and until you change the I don't give a <deleted> about life or other people, to, other people and my life is important, nothing will change. -

Three More Bodies Recovered from Capsized MV Hong Hai 16 in Mindoro Waters
File photo for reference only The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) reported the recovery of three more bodies from the capsized sand carrier MV Hong Hai 16 in the waters off Rizal, Occidental Mindoro. This brings the death toll to nine, with the search efforts ongoing for two missing crew members. The first cadaver was retrieved from the vessel's accommodation area on the afternoon of Black Saturday, April 19, by PCG's Special Operations Group-Southern Tagalog and divers from the Special Operations Force. The subsequent recoveries on Easter Sunday, April 20, were from Cargo Hold No. 1 and the Cargo Hold Monitoring Control Room. The identities of the deceased are pending notification of their families, as stated by the PCG. Meanwhile, efforts to locate the remaining missing crew members continue, despite challenging conditions, including poor underwater visibility and structural hazards posed by the sunken vessel. During recent operations, PCG divers recovered personal items from the vessel’s bridge and second-floor cabin. Alongside the ongoing search, the PCG, in partnership with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO)-San Jose, conducted a coastal assessment. The examined stretch revealed no immediate environmental threats such as oil spills, although significant siltation was observed, with no seagrass beds or coral reefs present. The Coast Guard Chaplain Services observed the Easter Holy Week period by holding a Black Saturday Mass, offering prayers for the victims' families and the safety of the responders involved in the recovery operations. The Chinese-flagged MV Hong Hai 16 capsized on April 15, approximately 100 meters from Barangay Malawaan's shoreline. Of the 25 crew members onboard, comprising 13 Filipinos and 12 Chinese nationals, 14 were initially rescued. The PCG remains committed to concluding its search and rescue mission and ensuring safety in the area. Adapted by ASEAN Now from Manila Bulletin -- 2025-04-21
