June 25, 20169 yr Anyone know of a shop that offers optional insurance? I would like to pay extra for something similar to 1st class insurance where I'm not liable for any damages/loss. I have a Thai license, health insurance and many years of experience riding in Thailand. Thanks!

June 25, 20169 yr Queen Bee, a block or two south of Tha Phae Gate, inside the mote, offers cycles with insurance. A number of years ago I rented one there, had an accident which totaled the cycle, and woke up in the hospital with only a broken toe. The insurance covered everything, no questions asked. http://www.queenbeetours.com/carrent.html

June 26, 20169 yr Author Thanks! I'll check out Queen Bee (although they say they want a passport deposit on their website) and J and N.
June 26, 20169 yr Insurance is often so low in the coverage limits to be of little value so check the coverage and decide it it is really worth it.
