I need a new front tyre on my CB 500 X. I have squeezed 38,000 km out of the original. It still handles fine but is rather worn. Better safe than sorry so time to change it.

Since I have a Pirelli Scorpion Trail II on the back, and it is the brand and very similar model to OEM, I will stick to that.

Just got quoted 8000 Baht by B.. W... This seems very high considering a new front tyre is around 5500B. I double checked with them the model of tyre and that it was the front, not back, tyre to check we were talking about the same thing. They stuck to the 8000 Baht quote. I thanked them and said I would think about it.

Has anybody else changed a CB 500 120/17 front tyre recently?

on Suk heading North past the Bkk-Pat Hospital is I-Moto (just past the tyre shop with the big Maxxis sign, which they are connnected too). Nice little shop that just does tyres for bikes - most brands. They even have a wheel balancer! :)

I went this morning but it appears I am too much of an early riser. They don't open till 10, the lazy buggers. Couldn't be arsed hanging around. I shall try again tomorrow.

Fluent Thai speaker so geen probleem.
