Hey guys, any of you has some valuable information on this model? I am looking at the updated version, which exists about 1-2 years I would think. Might get the wifey one of those lightly used....? New they are around 3.4m, so not cheap, but for the lack of anything much else on the market with a bit of premium feel maybe worth considering. Benz GLC well, not so sure, the local Benz dealer is rather arrogant....

You cant go really wrong with a BMW. I have a Beema and it has been excellent. I get it serviced by BMW when it is due and so far, after 3 years, never had a problem

The baby beamer was introduced as an entrance vehicle for those that wished to enter the prestige market but didn't have the means.....

It's a decent little car & won't carry the stigma here that it does in other markets.....

I happened to be with BMW at the time & there was much infighting about downgrading the perceived "status" of the brand.....In the end the impetus to drive the brand won out.....But still it does not carry the brand beyond baby Beamer - much like the baby Benz of the same era......It was aimed at the low end leasers of the brand......Couldn't afford to own but happy to rent......

Could be a pleasant vehicle here - but will never carry the mystique & prestige of the Benz.....Assuming quality servicing is available.....

2 brands that I was never suprised to see off on the side of the road - BMW & Ford.....Over the years there's been no let down......

I agree...CRV, X-Trail, and CX-5 (especially) are all better SUVs than the Thai spec X3 at half the cost. Of course, the buyer has to without the German marquee.

When its cold it clatters like a 20 Year Old Isuzu. Embarrassing Clatterbucket folks stare at it., nothing like a Benz for silence, but it OK inside, quit nice in fact. Oh Yeh, just the one i use, i expect. Full BM Serviced and 45K clicks on it.facepalm.gif
