In the few shops that I buy guay teo the cost is about 20% higher than two years a go.

Then again all is relative...it was two baht for a larger bowl when I arrived here.

In the Netherlands prices are much higher due to the .

. In the States I agree with the post regarding increasing fruit prices the last several years. Less in fruit/

vegetable stores in the States by 10-20%...draught related ?

the first time i visited the U.S. i had breakfast in Denny's. to my delight i saw small fried sausages and a little bowl of (what i thought) spicy gravy which i poured over the sausages. after a bite i nearly spit the sausage covered with maple syrup on my plate. then i complained to the waiter that i did not receive the toast i ordered. he pointed to some mushy spongelike something and told me "that's French toast Sir!" speechless i looked around and saw a person at another table spreading jam on scrambled eggs.

then i reeked bah.gif

Hey don't knock it...Denny's is good eatin' ???

Naam, if you don't know what french toast is and you can't tell the difference between spicy gravy and syrup, you should ask the waiter some questions about your order.

And what do you suppose should be done about those people putting jam on scrambled eggs?

I think they should be taken outside and shot.

Are you sure they weren't putting catsup on their scrambled eggs? That's perfectly understandable. Jam no.

Have some sympathy for them, they probably thought it was ketchup !!
