Is Psyllium available in Pattaya anywhere?

Featured Replies

I don't know what is the best form to take it, husks, powder or caps, but I think I might need more fibre in my diet. I know I can order it from iHerb, but wondered if it's available locally.

I take straight husk. A tbsp in a full glass of water, over 8oz. Not the best taste but it does give you production. Please make sure you keep up on your water intake throughout the day if you take psyllium.

It's available at more place than you might think. It's often called "ispaghula." If you ask for psyllium or ispaghula, you increase the likelihood of finding it. Fascino stores have it. If you go to one of the smaller outlets, they may need to order it from the big store on Pattaya Tai.

Thanks everyone. Was in Fascino only yesterday, didn't think to ask.sad.png

Also available in Big C if you have one in Pats.

As another poster has said, drink plenty of water when taking it and thru the day.

Thanks to all. I will be visiting Fascino again in the next few days so I'll pick up some Mucillin or the like there.

How about some nice pineapple instead?

Makes you shit like an elephant and good for digestion too.

I'd suggest you check the label before buying. Many mucil-type products are 50% or so sugar and have artificial flavourings. Better, in my opinion, to get your fibre straight.

I had a look at Fybogel, that uses an artificial sweetener and makes the ispaghula more palatable, but it costs 145 baht for 10 sachets, there are probably cheaper options.
