In most cases yes. But there are offices that have to put the application under consideration for regional approval.

Which office are you applying at?

They will do the approval locally on the date you apply.

If you have a multiple entry non-o visa you can do the extension during the last 30 days of any of the 90 day entries from it. You do not have to wait for your visa to expire.

Thanks, it's a combination of O finishing, two holidays booked overseas etc.

I'll get a wall planner out and do the dates here there wherever etc.

I did mine yesterday morning including a 90 day report at Nakhon Sawan. In and out in 1 1/2 hours and I only forgot to sign 1 passport page.

I took down the TM 28 and TM 30 files on reporting where the alien (me) was staying but they weren't interested in them.

The latest dreaded "information about the farang" form was given to me and the girl just asked me to sign and print my name and no further information was asked for.

The forex rate that they used was from the Bank of Thailand and was 45.94 for calculating my income in THB against my pensions from the UK in GBP. It was more than enough.

When I got there they were all dressed in full uniform with shiny buttons and shoes practising for a small parade which I instantly thought was in my honour as an ex RAF Corporal but they saved it for a general from the immigration department instead.

They really need a little more drill practice and I did explain (for the ex servicemen) all about "Tallest on the right and shortest on the left, in 2 ranks, size. Followed by how to right dress, but I don't think they understood. My old Drill Instructor, Taff Profit would have gone loopy at that stage.

Apart from that it was yet another good day at Nakhon Sawan Immigration. Free 3 in 1 coffee too.
