Mrt 700 Baht Rail Card Where Do You Get It From?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone knew where I could obtain a 700 baht MRT card with unlimited MRT access for 30 days? If anyone could shed some light on this subject I would be very greatful.

Thanks for taking the time to read this post.

Any MRT station can sell you any ticket product that exists. However, I'm not sure what you refer to actually exists.

i dont think any such card exists. MRT has a stored value card which you just load with however much money you want to, then it deducts the value of each trip (minus a small discount) every time you travel.

Along similar lines, does anyone know of a 30-day rail pass for Thai Railways, similar to the old Eurail Pass in Europe? Even if it has to be bought outside of Thailand, that's OK.

Yeh it does exist - I have been using one for the last month and wanted to renew it as the expiration was coming around. I was given the last one with no mention of where it came from. I have managed to get another, locations for purchase change daily and they are only available at certain times of the day - strangely the stations dont offer this card, judging by the locations the card is sold at, it is a corporate thing and a service not aimed at tourists.
