Where would be a good shop on the island

Im aware there are gold shops everywhere but im wanting somewhere where there

is alot of choices and that is also trustworthy and gold shops generally dont sell gems.

Forget that plush place above. There are a very few good (as in honest) gem shops on Phuket Island. A few in the center of Phuket town off the water cannon roundabout going to the old town area. Look hard and you will see a very few small unpretentious shops tucked out of the way.

Not sure what qualifies as a good shop, but at least the Royal Gems pavilion, next to two lady monument is huge with loads of choices. You'll get your own personal guide while walking through the shop.

Cheers.

Looks like a good place to visit

Im more looking at "local" style jewellery oppose to "tourist" style.

Thanks

I know Phuket town is not easy to navigate ...

Very central. one way road in past main banks,  straight on to local bus station and Thai airlines office, but turn right into the sort of old china town area. One way road, impossible to park a car - Yaowarat  Road. Place we use is one block on the right side. Another is on a right side side road. Left side of the road. A couple opposite the big banks on the back road - Phang nga Road. But you need to hunt about for then.
