I would agree with what you say, ISIS attacks are generally against those involved in the ME conflict, China has a lot more to fear than Thailand.

 

The number of incidents relative to the number of casualties here does not indicate a serious attempt at sensationalism, more like a warning to the government with collateral damage. The perpetrators have received international media coverage with relatively low loss of life.

Thailand has many soft targets , Pattaya being one of them, and they could very easily have gained the same coverage with a single incident.

 

Anything else on your list other than Lille? 

 

I live in France and have done for 27 years in a place which is recognised as a target (and has been threatened by name) and NOTHING has been cancelled around here..... f*** the bombers and their cowardly brethren.  We have CRS on guard every day and evening with much better equipment... which is very reassuring.
