Recommendation for a cardiologist in Bangkok

Featured Replies

Anybody got a recommendation for a cardiologist in Bangkok? I've had some tests done at Bumrungrad and the doctor there was very casual about some findings in the report. I would like to have a second opinion on it from another doctor. I'm okay with paying for quality, just need somebody that is thorough and know his stuff. Thanks

Thanks! But I'm not sure if it's a good idea to go to the same hospital for a second opinion. My worry would be that the second doctor isn't speaking as openly as he might should, because he doesn't throw his colleague under a bus.

In June I started using Dr. Panya Leechasan at Bangkok Heart Hospital as both general internist and cardiologist and find him very attentive to details.

Dr. Taworn  Suithichaiyakul  is an excellent, US trained cardiologist on the faculty at Chula.  He is thorough and a good listener. He has private hours at both  Bangkok Christian Hospital and Sukhumvit Hospital

I was very impressed with Dr. Nivit Kalra at the Sukhumvit Hospital Cardiac Center (http://www.sukumvithospital.com/en_doctorprofile.php?id=149)

I went in with chest pains.  He is a very clear communicator and is willing to discuss all aspects of diagnosis and treatment. His approach is step by step and he never pushed expensive tests or treatments.

The Sukhumvit Hospital facility is very new and up to date with an onsite lab that can handle almost all testing.  Location is just 100 meters from the Ekkamai BTS station, Exit 3, walk in the direction of traffic.
