After all, by the time they realised it was a see-through dress, it would have been too late to mention it any ways, and what could you have done about it ? Take it off ?

Besides, they probably didn't want to embarrass you or anything (at least not before they finished staring).

Just as a fail safe - if you go out again - post a picture of yourself and we can tell you if your dress is ok!
