NONTHABURI, 12 September 2016 (NNT) – The Office of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) is continuing its investigation on the G2G rice scheme case, while the Ministry of Commerce will act as the plaintiff in case more government officials or politicians are connected to the case, says an official.

The Ministry of Commerce's Permanent-Secretary Chutima Bunyapraphasara has said regarding the latest development on the government to government (G2G) rice selling scheme, that the Ministry is now providing information upon the NACC's request for investigation into 10 related cases.

She said the Ministry of Commerce will act as the plaintiff to file lawsuit for compensation related to this scheme against any government officials or politicians that may arise during investigation. Related agencies will take legal action against private companies with involvement to the case.

Regarding discontent among some rice millers on the government’s promotion of alternative cultivation, which halted operations at several rice mills, the permanent-secretary explains that from some 1,000 rice mills nationwide, rice produces are falling behind milling operations, resulting in the underselling of rice and imbalance.

She says the new rice plan will help restore the balance to rice mills and rice produce in the future.

Great article about this in the Bangkok Post today.  Can't like to it, but the title is:

Weevils in the rice scheme get fumigated

Shows the level of corruption.

^^^ Yes, a very good article. Nice to see Veera back, by the way.

the more they dig the more they will expose and yl is the head of the snake, she was the one in charge of it all so she is the one that has to take all the responsibility for everything that happened. Wonder how many of her ptp/red friends it will prove to be involved,  this is definitely going to get very interesting the longer it goes on, lets see them try to claim innocence now.

Ah but YL will plead the "I know nothing defense" followed by the usual attack on process, procedure and demanding justice (i.e. being let off completely).

No attempt to explain her role,  how she managed it all without ever attending the meetings she appointed herself to chair,  how Chalerm's and his dodgy son's mate's lightening quick "investigation" confirmed their was no corruption which she readily accepted, and how she herself repeatedly said there was no corruption. Even though she proclaimed herself head of the government, head of this scheme and solely in charge. No explanation will ever be given other than "it's all political and I didn't do anything wrong" as per usual.

Hopefully they can complete the investigation before the statute of limitations runs out.
