I don't know about these individuals, but in the past when a farang pays his way out of a situation and leaves, it's done quietly. You won't read about it in newspapers or find it on the internet. The farang knows to keep a low profile even upon entry in his/her homeland. Might I remind you the "press" shows up at the point of arrest only because someone called them. They don't get the call when the farang leaves because obviously they have dealt with someone "higher up" to gain said release.
