Access AIS Text Messages online?

Featured Replies

AIS or 12 Go used to have a way to view text messages online ( not 100% positive on this ) ... .is there currently a way to do that now?

Alternatively; is there a way to configure the account to forward text messages to an email address or other phone number?

Thanks very much for any tips!

would the 1-2 call phone have to be turned on ?

If you take the phone and sim out of Thailand , does the number still get text messages ?

I know when I come back into Thailand , turn the phone on for the first time , I do not get a pile of old text messages

A Google: theoretic solution?

There is/are apps that forward SMS to an Email address.

But of course the phone would have to be on (in Thailand?) anytime you want to receive SMS.

I don't know a way to directly access SMS online.

The AIS eService allows to SEND SMS from the computer.

Abd to use it you first need to type in a pin that your receive by SMS

Thanks very much for the replies..... for some reason the sim card dies over here in usa every 6 months.... it won't register on the networks. We call AIS... they send a new card... it works great for several months... it dies... we repeat. Becomes a hassle when doing online banking and OTP ( one time passwords ) .

Thanks again for the ideas!

Do you check validity and credit/top-up regularly?

Every 6 months does not sound accidental?

Even it is not allowed they still let credit expire after a certain time span.

Windows 10 (after anniversary update) has SMS send/receive built in. It works by syncing between any device logged into your MS account.

I find it a really useful feature. I can leave my phone charging on silent mode and receive notifications on my notebook for incoming SMS or missed calls  Can then reply to SMS from the notification centre (bottom right of screen).

In theory you could leave a phone switched on in Thailand and then travel anywhere in the world with access to SMS on your Thai number without roaming. If you are flying then the SMS will still be received and you will see it as soon as you arrive and go online.

I think all three providers here offered on-line/web access to at least originate SMSes, not sure about viewing/replying to received SMSes?

AFAIK, this capability was removed ages ago.

You can set up call forwarding, but not SMS forwarding, AFAIK.

Can you describe EXACTLY what it is you're trying to do? Maybe give a few examples?

There are paid SMS service providers which may be able to address your application requirements. You originate/read/reply an SMS with a variety of interfaces, including web and email.
