Shipping a parts car, US to Thailand

Featured Replies

Not sure if this is the right section of the forum but I own a 1957 Mercedes benz 190 here in Thailand and I just bought an identical car in the US and want to ship it here to use for parts.

Customs will not be a big issue, but I am looking for low cost port to port shipping option (don't really need the local pick up and delivery from their end).

Prefer Seattle or Portland departure.

Anyone have any ideas?

I don't believe they're letting any second hand cars in.....

They snatched mine.....The law changed while mine was in transit on the ship - even though all ok at shipping......

You also have to show ownership for a long period of time - under the old/current rules.....In the middle of the 9 month wrangling match we had over mine they tried to tell me I'd not owned it long enough as 5 years before when I brought it into California DMV put the date of entry on the pink.....

Between the vehicle & the fight it cost me about 1.4 million TB.....

They decided on the day I flew down to pick it up it couldn't come in......

I have been told they are not allowing torn down cars - parts - motorcycle pieced out either....Including the tracking separate shipments....
