Hi, has anyone ever seen cement paint in Thailand. I might be making a translation error here because I only know the Dutch word (structuurverf). Its not normal paint its plaster like. Has anyone ever seen in Home pro or Thai watsadu ? Can you apply it on normal glossy paint. I want to paint my living-room (let someone paint it actually) and because the walls are not perfect I think this would be a nice way to make it look better.

I googled the word and it appears to look like "artex" which is a product you would normally put on a cracked ceiling...to hide the cracks of course.

I cant remember the manufacturer but certainly Global andTW  sell textured paint similar to what you are looking for.

As for overcoating previously painted surfaces, well thats down to the instructions on the tub. Some may require a simple wash or sizing some may ask for a pva substrate, you just need to see what each one does.

A word of warning if its your own property then textured coatings on walls would certainly discourage any Westerners from buying as its a nightmare to remove.

if you are renting; well if i was your landlord i would classify a textured paint as damage almost..sounds harsh I know.

Can you not use a normal emulsion based paint, three coats can hide a multitude of sins.

I am looking for something like a textured paint.. that is exactly what i was looking for.

Yes I own it (in a way), so I can decide what to do. I would not want to sell this house but I understand what you mean about it being hard to remove. However the wall dont look real good now either. Painting just does not hide how the walls look.. they are not really smooth or equal.. otherwise a new layer of paint would have been enough.
