PHUKET: -- A 37-year-old Trang man was arrested yesterday (Oct 11) after police discovered 98 kilograms of marijuana in his pickup truck at the Tha Chatchai checkpoint in Mai Khao.

Lt Col Thawas Tansakul of the Tha Chatchai Police said, “Mr Annop Deeramea, 37, from Trang was arrested with 98 packages of marijuana when police conducted a search of his vehicle.

“Officers were performing regular checks at the Tha Chatchai checkpoint when they noticed an Opel Astra with Bangkok licence plates approaching. The driver drove very slowly and hesitated to come to the checkpoint when he saw police.

I have had my motor bike (large) shipped up by the post office Pattaya to Issan 1,500 baht.

Years ago when Issan didn't have the choices, I have been to BKK brought Flat-Pack furniture had it shipped up by a free lance trucking. Those guys are so overloaded it would take the police a week to sort through just one of their trucks.

.

Why is it these guys feel they have to be with the product?  Seems like a no brainer. One guy packs & ships it, another (different) guy follows the truck at a few Klms distance. If you pass it being torn apart---then you can write that shipment off. This guy just written his life off along with the shipment.

.

It's only marijuana---but Henzinger they certainly are not.

Why are they only worrying who it is supposed to be going to? I would have thought asking who it came from would be the best question. Cut it off at the supply not the customer. Then again they might not have like what they found if they looked at the source.
