My computer updated automatically at night to windows 10. Now my screen flickers. Sometimes it's brief and then stops, and sometimes it flickers and just goes black which renders it unusable. After searching, many people suggested to go into the settings and deselect "report problems" and another one, can't remember which the name. I just followed the YouTube videos. Anyways, I tried it but still it's still flickering.

The computer runs fine, just either a flickering screen or all black. When I connect to my TV it has no problems.

Any other solutions? People are saying that the flickering screen can cause damage. And why am I forced to use crap windows that is damaging my 30,000baht laptop which is unusable at times.

You could try troubleshooting.

Go to Control panel >> Trouble shooting >>> Hardware and sound. Let it run and whatever the outcome do a restart.

Updating the driver for your display-adapter and monitor could maybe help too. Look under Device manager , go to properties of the display and the monitor driver and try updating them.

It also could be that your display decided to slowly die on you, as displays sometimes do.

Ok, I'll try your guys advice. I doubt it's the screen though. Unless it's a coincidence that the update and flickering happened at the same time. It's only a year old, Asus zen book ux305. Not a cheap model, but you never know I guess.

If it is completely random it could be something as simple as a loose connection.

Have you considered taking it for a service and explaining the problem to them?

I had a similar problem with my hp display, turned out one of the pins on the   computer connector  had somehow been pushed in and barely making contact, had to use a magnifying glas to see it after trying  different cables and monitors.
