will night clubs allow music and dancing?

I don't know - but an American busker in Boston is playing the Thai national anthem in the subway there. That music is most welcome of course.

God bless America for such wonderful support at this time.

How can they say "open as usual," then say expect "some" disruptions, to entertainment and events!!! Seems to me NOT open as usual.

I do understand that but you tell at first they come to Thailand for that venue and than later say it is just a part of the whole experience.

They actually changed their dates to be THERE at the date!

So: yes...it is just one part!

But it seems somehow to be an important one!

They are trying to protect themselves as much as they can, If anything is found on the site that can be interpreted in anyway as being against the security of the nation or against the monarchy, it is not our heads that will roll, its the editing team of TV! And the site will be closed down.....

Interpretation of the law....after all....is a very subjective thing.....

This is a very accurate statement and indicative of measures possibly taken under the Computer Crimes Act and the Lese Majeste Law.

This is why our Forum Rules are very clear on these issues.

Khaosan road, the heart of Bangkok's famous backpacker scene, is far more subdued than usual following the death of Thailand's King Bhumibol. The many bars which line the street have switched off their pounding loudspeakers, and staff are dressed in black mourning clothes. But young tourists are not complaining, and say it's important to respect Thailand's moment of national grief.

Bangkok's famous red light district has turned black out of respect for the late king.

The entertainment industry is under orders to tone down following the death of the world's longest-reigning monarch, King Bhumibol Adulyadej, on Thursday.

The government has declared a year-long official mourning period.
