International Registration for Thai registered car

Hi all,

 

Just got my car through into Cambodia for a 10 day holiday. I was limited to the province I crossed into. (Koh  Kong). I went further and had no problem with the police. I went as far as Kompet.

 

Anyway I was thinking it may be easier to gain International registration for the car. The Tabien is in my name so i have full legal ownership of it.

 

I suspect the problem is Insurance so if anyone knows of an extra insurance available that could also be helpful.

 

I have travelled most of Thailand by car and plan on using Thailand as a base for seeing more of Cambodia and laos.  So hoping to do many more road trips.
