Lt Gen Chalit said, “I am pleased to preside over this ceremony and announce a campaign aimed at ridding the island of drugs and crime. Along with local police officers, officials from local administration offices will also be helping out during this campaign.

Nothing like giving all the dealers advanced warning. lol

A three day campaign. Only a coupe of days left to keep the drug dealers shut down then back to normal business on 31st October.  Can't have the envelope cashflow stopping for any longer than a few days while they pretend they are men of action. The undisguised pretence of the RTP to be seen to be doing something defies description.

Yes, a 3 day "anti-crime and drug campaign" should suffice for a 6 month high season.

More Thai smoke and mirrors, and BS press releases.

Of course not, but, I would suggest, the general public are sick of the lies and deceit that there really is  an "anti-crime and drug campaign" happening, when what is actually happening, is nothing more than a story for the media, and forewarning the criminals for those particular 3 days.

Meanwhile, certainly, more and more crime is being reported in the news here.

Why the need for a ceremony and a photo session before just getting off thier butts and simply doing what they are paid for.

Photo ops are very important here, I think you could spend your entire career in law enforcement in America without ever being in a picture even in the local news. But then you would be in your squad car 8 hours a day and pulling people over for violations, and thats no fun.
