I'm a bit bored of these 125s so looking to purchase something new / second hand with a bit more power.

Is there a good place in Samui or am I looking at the mainland?

All kinds of dealers around ... Honda Maenam and Nathon, (same family owned)  Suzuki, Nathon,  Others too, not coming to mind. I know Honda Maenam sometimes has second hand bikes for sale.

No point in going to mainland really, travel and expenses will probably eat up what you may or may not save ...and probably more than one trip.

Spot on Jimmy, as always. Honda Maenam is reliable. I also recommend you buy a new Honda if you can

afford it. Best quality -which makes it  as safe as possible-.

I would say they are fine for new purchases but booking/getting a service and parts is a completely different kettle of fish.

By comparison I have a Ford car and their official garage is far more professional, not perfect but in a different league.

Not sure I would agree with that, I have always found Honda Shop Maenam, very good  to deal with.... always found professional and whilst bike is under warranty period, the bikes need to be serviced by Honda to keep up the warranty ... Prices always in line... from my experience!

After warranty period JJ Shop in Maenam is also good to deal with (depends who is busiest as to who gets my business !)

Another vote for Honda Maenam. They've been very accommodating and easy to deal with. Location is accessible too. There are plenty of retailers and it's also good that you explore.
