I've been using Harnal Ocas (Tamsulosin) for the last few months, and it's pretty expensive, over 1200 baht for 30 tablets. Unfortunately, for some reason, there's no generic available in Thailand, but I know India, as well as many other countries have generic versions at a fraction of the price here. Wondering how easy and safe it might be ordering from India.

Have you tried using Doxazosin, which is also an α1-selective alpha blocker? It's available very cheaply here, with local brands such as Pencor.

Ordering medicine from abroad and getting it sent here is illegal without the proper license, which isn't available for private individuals.

OK thanks. Any idea of the price of Pencor?

Pencor 2 mg, 10 tablets, 30 Baht - so 3 baht each.  However, you might need the 4 mg tablets which are probably a little more expensive.

Thanks, that's a hell of a lot cheaper. Yes, I take 4mg of the Harnal Orcas.

I come from the UK, and have used a Canadian online pharmacy , Progressive RX for many years and never had a problem

They always ship with a copy of the prescription, some times sourced and shipped from India, sometimes from Singapore, so far I have never had a problem

I also buy my flea treatment for the dogs from these people, made in Thailand, shipped from Singapore but substantial savings on buying here

For prostate problems I was prescribed advodat or something like that, at local hospital price 3x, in local pharmacy 1 1/2 x and from my online x, this was a more expensive drug, same branded drug made in Turkey

I believe all quality drugs

I do not know the legality of this but with prescription enclosed and sensible quantities the worst likely to happen is confiscation I believe, even knowing this is thailand, in any case so far so good

On my current chemotherapy medication,

Xeloda generic name Capecitabine, which costs around 1300batt per day, I buy from the hospital where the specialist works and would consider it stupid to take the risk of going elsewhere to save money, and finding I am buying counterfeit, I only have to take it hopefully for six weeks

If it were to be long term and I could buy it cheaper, I would buy a small quantity first and have it checked out for authenticity before using it

My canadian company does not list this one

Thanks for that info. I have registered with Progressive RX, but can't see whether I need to send them a prescription for Flomax 0.4mg (Tamsulosin) and how much are their shipping costs to Thailand. I have emailed them for that info, which I need before I pay for the items by credit card as they don't have PayPal.

I think if you get to a certain level you get free shipping, you can also send the prescription by scanned doc by email, only need to send once not for refills

They are happy to supply Flomax 0.4mg (tamsulosin) without prescription because it doesn't require a prescription in Thailand. Total cost for two packs of 30 delivered is $34, compared to 1250 baht, or $35 for one pack here. You need to spend more than $99 to get free shipping, but the shipping was only $7 anyway. So, thanks for the tip.
