Don't know the name, just that it never opened and was demolished a few years back. This is my series from the location https://www.daxward.com/Abandoned-thai-mountain-resort/

And my article in nine Australia https://travel.nine.com.au/destinations/abandoned-thai-mouintain-resort/2eb19a2e-f7a4-4519-aadd-28c9f7e17e18

Maybe this one? It is in the mountains (stepy dirt road) of Samui.

I sometimes watch videos made by people who explore abandoned houses and mansions, and it's amazing what gets left behind. Beds made, dishes in the sink to wash, even expensive cars or tvs etc. It appears as if some had to suddenly 'do a runner', and I guess others died with no family to clear up or take over the property.

If someone died alone in the house it is likely the Thai culture of ghosts becomes the rule.

No chance of the average Thai going within 100 metres.

Dying within a extended family home is OK.

Looks like this tower is in Pattaya behind the 'the Zign Hotel', Soi 12 off Naklua Road.

You know your way around very well ????

Looking for some input from anyone who knows about Buddha statues. I saw this one at an abandoned temple the other day, first I've ever seen a Buddha with hands covering face. I'm very curious as to the meaning. Any ideas? It resembles the 'see no evil' depicted in the popular Japanese 'three wise monkeys' statues, but I think it's very unusual to see this depiction in a Buddha statue...or maybe not, but I've certainly never seen it before. Cheers

Hands over the eyes symbolizes a blocking out of the outside world during intense Sammabart meditation. This is jhana level meditation which can also cross-over into Abhinna.

Wow, there appears to be so much "recoverable" stuff in this place, it's a wonder it hasn't been stripped bare by now??

If not the above, then surely could be a "home" to the poor and needy/homeless??

@xylophone Something is been stripped.

The wooden house in the garden looks nice  but some of the wood has rotted through.

Around the office are a few real rooms, the other buildings are open halls.
