PHUKET:-- The Samkong Underpass will be closed to traffic tomorrow night (Nov 11) as workers install signs at each end of the tunnel.

“Both the northbound and southbound lanes will be closed to all traffic while workers install the signs,”

Phuket Highways Chief Patiwetwoottisak Sookkii told The Phuket News today.

The signs to be installed, each to be six metres long, are to apply the name “Samkong Underpass”, Chief Patiwetwoottisak said.

Maybe a sign showing how high the water is during floods

Or do they plan to play

How highs the water mama --------- 3 feet high and rising  :whistling:

Or maybe a list of the absolutely outrageously negative 'achievements' this project is famous infamous for.

Just now, scorecard said:

Or maybe a list of the absolutely outrageously negative 'achievements' and Guinness book of records late delivery years this project is famous infamous for. Perhaps add the lessons to be added to the textbook re:  'unacceptable' and disgraceful / laughable years late delivery problems.

I would have thought "signs and finishing touches" should have been completed BEFORE opening.
