a long story short. have had diarrhea on and off for 3-4months

ended up going to doc. tried anti-biotics, did blood work and stool sample. said no reason to do colonoscopy as was done 4yrs. ago by same doc.

blood work came back good nothing wrong and no cancer markers. stool sample nothing abnormal and no blood.

has now come up with irritable bowl syndrome(sounds like a catch all as they have no idea).

can some one recommend a GOOD gastro doc.!!

this is now effecting my live and living.

thank you

shit man, that sounds bad.

Seriously can you not get it checked out in your home country, having it for a couple of days is bad enough.

Hope you get a few decent pointers.

You could try a hospital in Singapore. Then again, it could be caused by the kind of street food you eat, if any, or the way your body is adapting to the local environment/bacteria. I remember my first few months in Thailand were brutal on my stomach. I found out part of the blame was a coffee stand I used to buy coffee from. My stomach wasn't in agreement. You may have to look at your (local) diet.

He is a professor at Chulalongkhorn and can be seen through their after hours clinic there but you have to go inperson to make the appointment. He used to be at BangkokHospital, don't know if he still is.

is dicyclomine(bentyl) available in Thailand

for some reason i am unable to log in to mims.

thanks

Yes, but not under brand name bentyl. And often in combo with other ingrediants like simethecone and/or NSAIDs.

For dicyclomine alone, brands are:

  • Diclomine
  • Dicymine
