Could someone recommend a garage in Bangkok where I can get some damage to my wife's new Tiida repaired? It is some scratches to the front offside bumper and wing due to a scrape with a car park wall. Nissan have quoted 7000 but I would like a quote from a specialist paintshop. Close to Ladprao Rd or Sukhumvit 71 would be useful. Thanks.

If you continue east on Ladprao it turns into Serithai Rd once you get to the NIDA intersection. Go a bit past that then do a U-turn and go to Soi 4. There is a body shop down the soi about 100 or so meters that does decent repair jobs.

A good place I have repaired my car ( Benz ) on several occasions and was happy with

the results is situated on Soi Sukhumvit 59, as you drive into the Soi it's 50 m on you left,

tell the lady Owner that Mr. Paul has sent you, she'll do right by you,

Ezzra, how long it takes to do some small scratch repairs in that shop? Mazda told me 2 weeks, some small shop near by told me one week. In Europe it can be done in few hours...

Sorry for the late reply, but I would think no longer that 2-3 days as this garrage is very busy and need the space,

Good luck,,

Thanks for these replies. On the question of no claims bonus, the car has only third party cover. But for future reference, do no claims bonuses operate here? Even if they don't I would guess that a previous claim would increase your premium when you next renew.

Yes they do increase the premium after damage has been claimed or when repairs have been claimed on insurance. I had waterdamage to my enigine caused by the flooding and teh insuance paid out, another car I claimed a big paint job, they paid......

Good body job, next to the novotel bang na on Srinakarin road

I'd go for fully comp next year.

ask your insurance company for the list of companies that they work with (they will supply it) then go to them and get a quote.

Nissan will just be outsourcing to one of those anyway, then just go to each one and I think you'll find it should be about maybe 3-4k.
