Vigo - Spare, jack, and tools

Featured Replies

Just about to do a Laos Rd trip and realized I had no clue what if anything my spare tire was pressured too.. Or how to access it..

Then spent the next 30 minutes baffled.. The spare is of course under the bed, but I see no way to lower it..

I found a bottle jack under the rear seat.. A process which took me way too long.. But no way to operate the jack..

I am guessing theres a (missing) tool kit ?? With a handle for the jack ?? Is the hole center above the bumper a lowering system for the spare ??

What is or should be where ??

Your tool kit is missing....The hole is for the lowering handle in the tool kit....Go to B-Quik. They have their own tool, get them to lower the spare and chuck it in the truck bed...

why would someone keep the damn handle.. What a gip !!

Does the lowering handle also do the jack ??

So I need to source a handle, tire iron and probably a breaker bar somewhere.. Why is life never simple.

Anyone reading this with ideas for a source (other perhaps than over paying toyota) feel free..

The handle does the jack too, it's in three pieces....Go to a breakers and look under the back seat of a wreck...

OK.. Will try..

We seem to be a bit lacking in breakers up here in chiang mai.. I will go ask a few mechanics if they have ideas..

Thanks for the help.

Toyota is where your get what you need unless you know of a scrap yard.

Is the truck new. ?

You've left it late to check it out ain't ya.

Not new.. I bought it used a couple of years ago.. Only now with the issue of being remote did it occur to me to check it out.
