It's probably not news to Canadians, but just in case, the verdict is in -- you're COOL.

Welcome to Canlandia

As the United States descends into a vicious culture war, Trudeau’s Canada has become a beacon of tolerance and, dare we say, coolness

I've sometimes felt if I was born Canadian, I would have never felt the need to expatriate. (Yes, I've checked, you guys won't take me.)

Don't kid yourself. We are not called the fifty first state for nothing. Universal health care - sure, if you can wait 2 years. If it is Urgent, you only have to wait 6 months.

You're not fooling me. Nice try though.  You're trying to stop the wave of Yankees crossing into your land. It's well known polls consistently say Canadians are overwhelmingly happy with their health care system.

Sorry, I just return there to work - if the contract appeals. Polls -  The term was popularised in United States by Mark Twain (among others), who attributed it to the British Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli: "There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics." My own experience, these last 2 years returning to work, are that I had to wait to return here to have my health issues seen by a specialist Doctor. Both years, made an appointment in May, Got back on the bird to return here first of November without seeing anyone.

Canada is my country and it is ok I was born there and traveled all over the world when I was younger working in different countries but now it is becoming more like I will be the minority in my own country so I have decided to be a minority in someone else country.

So you're saying your don't like the diversity? Well, I suppose Vancouver has become a largely Chinese city, right? So you can expatriate to Asia right in your home nation. Sort of. I think Toronto is absolutely fantastic. But it may be cool but too darned COLD. Montreal too of course.
