I am wondering what is the best ferry to prebook to get us accross to Koh Samui, I have been told to prebook otherwise we might be waiting all day, I am driving from Isaan to Koh Samui with my wife and so so in total I need to prebook for a car and us three, I am also a little confused do I just book for the car, or do I book for the car + 3 passangers?

Passengers do not have to prebook.

It might be worth mentioning that it's not possible to book at peak holiday periods with Seatran.

At least that used to be the case - perhaps it's now changed? Anyone know for sure?

 

Their logic seemed to be " . . . when we're not busy we don't know if we're going to get a lot of cars or not so you can book with us in advance. But when it is peak season, like Songkran or New Year , we know for sure we're gonna be busy so we don't need bookings."
