Where to go for Comprehensive Medical Screening

1   Where is the best place to go for a comprehensive medical screening package at a competitive price ?

I'll be visiting Bangkok and Pattaya, so could consider either location.

2  What is the best strategy to get any discount that might be available ?

3  In what format are the results supplied ?       If there was an issue with an X-ray or a test, I would want the results on paper so it could be taken to my own doctor when back home.

All the hospitals offer this and prices/promotions vary.

Phyathai Hospital in Sri Racha is usually quite competititve price wise and has different monthly specials.

Suggest also checking the websites of the major Bangkok hospitals e.g. Bumrungrad, BNH, Samitivey, Bangkok Hospital, St Louis, Bangkok Christian, Vejthani. All will list their check-up packages and costs so do some comparisons.

Be aware that you cannot rely on the hospital to  tell you what tests to have, and although they have packages, these will not necessarily contain the appropriate tests for you. You need to research it yourself and come already knowing what tests you need. Additional tests can always be added on to a package, and it is often cheaper to go with a low-end package and then add on a few specific additional tests rather than take a high end package just to get them.

A written report, usually in booklet form, is provided. It is also possible to get actual films (x-ray, ultrasound etc) to take with you on request.

The "chain" of hospitals such as BNH, Bangkok Hospital-Pattaya, Bangkok Hospital-Hua Hin, etc traditionally have offered discounts for the month of December under the guise of honoring The King whose birthday is in December.  With the current situation, I don' t know if they will offer the December discount this year, but we should know tomorrow, being that is December 1st.

ISTR, the discount was sometimes 50% off any check-up package and other times was two people got a check-up for the price of one.
