Ear specialist

Featured Replies

this is a long shot...many years ago I had a barotrauma on the left ear from diving. Since I suffered from significant hearing loss on that ear plus some tinnitus.

Can someone recommend a top ear doctor who could give some advise whether there is any chance to fix this problem? Thanks.

Try Dr. Pasakorn at BNH hospital in Bangkok.  I've had excellent results with him for nose and ear issues.

Pardon?

Sorry Mate, I'm mostly deaf on the left (getting worse) and get the dreaded tinnitus too (not baro induced, machine room noise), not really much that can be done :(

I heard that stem cell therapy can actually do something about it. I'd like to learn more about that. Stanford University does it already, probably some others too.

What you refer to is still in early stages of research and not yet available as a treatment. It is also not specific to the type of ear injury sustained in barotrauma.

I'm not finding anyone with expertise in barotrauma in Thailand. ..probably because Thais are not much into diving etc. I would expect the most experience to be in military hospitals. Suggest you try Queen Sirikit Naval Hospital in Sattahip for starters.
